Blue Skys

AHHH The weather this Weekend in Scotland was amazing (as far as weather during March in Scotland goes) there were blue skies all over the shop- not even one drop of rain. So the sun inspired me to get the shorts back out :) it wasn’t quite warm enough to go without the beanie but I can deal with that for the meantime.

These shorts were a present from my friend Karena who brought them all the way back from Thailand, definitely not an item to be worn after a few summer beers as they are a teeny Thailand size. The feather top was a recent buy from Topshop -for a change ;) and I love it! It’s got a really cool tribal/ethnic feel to it a cool chunky zip up the back which I unfortunately didn't manage to capture in the photos. The beanie is just from Topman - a stable item of my wardrobe during the winter months that I have grown quite attached to.

Most of my Jewels are from Topshop (I think I've got issues, I am addicted to Topshop Jewellery) and the shoes are an amazing "tribute" to the Balenciaga Harness boot that I bought from a shop on Ebay.

I've had such a lovely weekend hanging out with my Boyfriend and seeing friends, ahh and i cant stop listening to The Cardigans- Communication definitely worth a listen :) Hope you all had a nice weekend too.

Aztec Mad

Its safe to say I’m a little bit in love with Aztec right now, I wasn’t so into it when American Apparel brought out the Aztec bodycon skirts and dresses a while back, but with this Urban Outfitter's knitwear number... its different!

I also purchased this shark tooth necklace from Topshop the other day (I was meant to be on a clothes spending ban but accessories don't count) and I think it could be a good replacement for my lost crucifix for the time being :).

This bag was a gift for my 21st birthday from my friend Emily, and I love it! It’s great for carrying your life around in, but if you need something in a hurry its maybe not so good!

I thought I would also showcase my Topshop Unique shoes which have been resurrected by my lovely Dad who managed to work his magic and bring them back to life from an almost fatal heal snap incident:

These photographs were taken by my friend Sam Copeland whose currently studying at Grays School of Art. I am very impressed with her talents and advise anyone to have a look at some more of her snap shots here.

Its an amazing day for once in Aberdeen, the rain's been put on hold for a day- that's right A WHOLE DAY (So far) so I'm heading out for some Friday drinks a bit later on with my boyfriend and some friends. Hope you all have a happy Friday

Lots of Love

Early Release

Well... all I can say is that it's been an interesting week... but at least it has a happy ending!

We are home!!!!

Nicola's behaviour and tantrums deteriorated so badly over the weekend that Sunday ended up being a 13 hour temper tantrum because she didn't want me, she didn't want Aunty Kathy, she didn't want to sleep, she didn't want to be awake, she didn't want to play or read or anything else, she just wanted Daddy, and Daddy wasn't there.

We went back to the ward this morning, intending to argue our way to early release and to go home because Nicola just wasn't coping with it all mentally, she was not at all in a good place.

I was determined, there was a Qantas flight at 7pm and I was going to be on it, with or without their blessing.

Thankfully they had a modicum of common sense and a quick discussion about the situation with the added knowledge that we live only a few minutes from a major tertiary hospital meant that they agreed to let us go home. We got onto the 2pm flight and we were gone!

I don't remember the last time I saw her so glad to get home and to see her Daddy and her sisters, and most importantly her own bed!

So now we have to watch her sooooo closely for the next week for any sign of a post surgical bleed because that would most likely mean an instant flight to Brisbane, which I really do not want to do.

Thankfully, at least for the moment, we have no further surgeries on the horizon so I think it's time that we start looking into moving more and more of her medical care back to Townsville so that we can avoid more of these trips away in the future as much as possible!
